Look familiar?? I created this a couple of day after i had done my abstract painting series. What makes it different is that i used a hotel card. You know one of those cards that let you in the room. I found it buried in the sand at the beach. At first I didn't know i was going to use it for art but i just kept the card. Then i started this piece by laying it down flat on the floor, then I start making a big puddle of paint on the canvas. I laid a layer of blue at first and that dried a little before other colors came. After being done with the paint I used the card to scrape the extra paint of the canvas. This created a path and some really cool patterns with the blue and the red layering on top of each other and mixing, etc. I don't have a title for it yet other than "Hotel card" which I think describes the unique nature of the art, considering it went through a very uncommon and sort of spontaneous process. FYI this is not connected to the other series.
