This is my first skull, I started with a big piece of clay and from there I started sculpting the back part of the skull, after that i did the lower jaw separately and then the front part. It was a challenge to add everything together since the pieces kept on coming off, but at the end it was solid. I still need to fire it and I know it doesn't have teeth, but I think that it came out really good since I'm not used to 3D art pieces.

Clay life
This is my third still life yet not the best, I'm really sorry for posting to late, this week was really bad and I got a little distracted but keep on checking the site because I'm going to be posting some stuff over the week, probably meaning there could be 3 posts this week!

Abstract drawing
This piece is an abstract drawing made with sharpie, the right side is all right lines meanwhile the left side is just made out of curved more free lines, I tried to integrate the opposite colors on the one who dominated.
If you look closely you could see that in the middle there are five 5 I think people could see it but just in case I mentioned it.

Sailor mutation
This is a sketch that I did by looking at sea shells that I found in the beach. The story of this character is, this sailor was in a boat on the ocean a late night, when a storm came and made him and part of his tripulation fall of the boat, they never found them, but there was a legend that said that this sailor got caught in a reef and he mutated with all the shells that where there, the legend says that he always choose some random boat and makes destroys it so other people can feel what he felt.

Miner lettuce tile
This was a tile that I design based on a miner lettuce plant. Above the name of the plant there is a little sketch of the plant being seen on the horizon. The 4 circles that are on the corners, are the main part of the plant, and everything is connected with those lines, that represent the stem of the plant.

Chronomentrophobia
Chronomentrophobia
The fear of clocks or watches. This is the lord of time (in a way), on his right hand he has a dile dagger, on his left hand he has a spear, with a sand clock attach to a normal clock, and on his back 2 gears on his back. He was a watchmaker that got obsess with the watches that he sell, so he decided to attach them to himself. Since then he is been trying to control and manipulated the time on his own freewill.

Clay experiments
These are some clay experiments that I did. I normally don't use clay because I rather stay with the 2Da art, but is good practice. The first picture is a human torso in a almost moving position. Picture number 2 is a little piece that I decorated randomly, and the last one is just a feet normal size. And sorry to take too long to update this.

Phobias
This week's pieces were inspired by some phobias.
Ophidiophobia
The fear of snakes, it's also the fear of their venom or the danger that this could involve. This character was developed in a lab. When an experiment that involved the subject and a snake, went wrong, this mutated guy lost his hands that were replace with 2 gigantic heads of snakes, and his feet that where substitute by a snakes tail. After the accident he escaped and start living in a swamp, where he became a predator, the only human characteristic that he possesses now is part of his face.
Spectrophobia
The fear of mirrors or of a broken mirror. People with this phobia can also be afraid of the idea of something coming out of the mirror or seeing something in the mirror besides their own reflection. This is also the fear of being watched from the mirror. The background of this character is: This women came out of a creepy and abandoned mirror house where she was murdered. No one ever found her body, but years later people reopened the house since then she started to attack innocent people because she wanted revenge for what people did to her. Her upper body is made out of broken mirrors, and some of the mirrors have hands sticking out of them. She also has a mask made out of mirrors as well with just one eye showing.
Pupaphobia
The fear of puppets and their unnatural movements. The signs on his chest and stomach symbolize the word puppet. Before being a puppet this man was a comedian at children's parties, but he got obsessed with the art of puppetry, so he decided to be his own puppet. Everybody was afraid of him. He was so frustrated that in an act of revenge, he started to transform everyone that was afraid of him into puppets. Ever since then he hides in any place where people perform their art. He also attacks any artist who doesn't perform a puppetry act.

Fake nature
This is my second still life drawing. It's called "fake nature," because everything in this drawing is fake; the plants are made out of wood and fiber, the pinecone is plastic, and the lizard is actually metal. I accidentally used another kind of paper with a different texture than the one that I've been using, but at the end I made it work.
Check it out
Check the blog every week, I will try to make a different piece and post it on Friday and if it doesn't appear, wait for the weekend.

Sunset
This piece is a sunset. I did 50% in chalk and 50% in normal pencil colors. On the background you can see that there are lots of trees, but most of the plants are just grass (the lighter green). Most of the piece is orange to make it look like an actual sunset, I tried to make the sky, the water and the sun look similar so you could note the water is a reflection of almost everything. There is a little creek on the grass, and the other part that is brown is meant to be sand or some kind of earth, because it is the closest to the water. On the lower left corner, there is a boy and a dog enjoying the view.

Land art 0.5
This was my very first land art project before the sticks one. I did it in a creek starting under water and finishing above that level. It is totally empty on the inside. I used all kinds of stones from really tiny ones to gigantic ones on the bottom, but only the rocks make the piece stand by itself. I had about 2 hours to do this project and most of the time was gathering rocks and making it stand, because every minute at least one rock fell from the piece. There are probably about a hundred stones right there. Don't let the perspective fool you. Its a little more deep than you think it is.

Humanoid Beasts
My series was about humanoid beasts. It also shows the transition from black and white to color pieces.
This was my first piece. It's a spinosaurus with human legs/arms, and his right hand is human. I also wanted to make the body look a little bit deteriorated which is why there are some bones that are visible. I used pencil to draw and shade the whole body, and I used marker to make some parts a little bit more noticeable. But I used charcoal for the background. I did this piece in black and white because the dinosaur is the most ancient animal of my series.
This was my second piece. It's a manta ray with human mouth, eyes and legs, and at the edge of the fin there are 3 small claws. On every colored part I used chalk pastel colors but instead of applying it directly, I made dust out of it and then applied it all around. There are some parts where instead of chalk I used normal color pencil, but the rest of it is black color or charcoal. On this piece I used color and blacks and whites. Remember what I said about the black and white to color transition? Well this is the middle piece - that's why some parts are with color and others with black and whites.
My third and last piece is a bird with a women's upper body and a face without nose and mouth. The green part below is green paint with some parts with lighter green. The mountains and the sky in the background are also chalk pastel. All the feathers that I drew were colored with color pencils. I chose these colors for a certain reason: the wings contain blue, yellow and green meanwhile the tail is red, yellow and orange. If you haven't figured it out, I am doing the representation of a color wheel that why the last combination is red hair blue feathers and a purple suit. I chose this piece to be the colorful one because of the feathers and the possibilities of combinations.

Freedom Dream
This was my mixed media.
I used leafs, pencil colors and paint to do it.
The phrase of my choice was "Even a cage bird is smart enough and it would be able to open the door to its cage with its beak. The dream of flying and breaking free its to great to resist.

Natural confidence
Traditional still life uses fruit as its subject, so I started with a pineapple. This is my self portrait still life. I drew 3 of my necklaces that mean something to me. The one in the middle its a little drill which meens that I can go through anything. The one on the left its an akaoni voudou doll that is for acomplishing all my goals, and the one on the right hand is an animal´s paw that represents my love for animals. At the top of the pineapple, there is a paintbrush that I brought from Japan that symbolizes my love for art.

Websites
http://www.chilloutpoint.com/misc/drawings-which-enter-three-dimensional-world.html
I really like this site because even if it is kind of photoshop the drawings have the 3D perspective or point of view.
http://univ-paralelo-nina.blogspot.mx/2009/07/mcscher.html
I really like this site because of, the concept of having a lot of different universes and a lot of points of gravity (on the stairs one), its really cool.
http://misc2blog.blogspot.mx/2009/06/pencil-drawings.html
I like this one because of its realism that the artist gives to the faces, it also seems to me that it has a good use of value.

Day and night
Day and night.
On the drawing of the bird its the drawing of the day with a city behind.
On the one below its the night with a firefly and a more natural landscape.
Earth and water
Earth and water.
On the image below there is a mole that is swimming and on the other one next to the text is a fish that is like digging with just its head.
Talking without brain
Talking without brain.
On the left side image there is a really shy person that can listen and is smart, and on the right side a more extrovert person that can just talk and talk, but this person just has a nut as a brain.

Land Art
This is the most amazing project I have made ever. It's, a Land Art project and it took me about a week to finish it (the picture you see is just a third of it). This project was pretty intense because I was building it in a tree. I was putting all the sticks in between 2 branches of the tree that were going higher and higher. I needed it to start going straight up so it could continue, lucky for me it worked. What makes this project unique is the straight up wall of sticks I did and the originality of the idea. Too bad that animals thought they could live there because they ended up breaking it, but they also suffered because they fell out =P.
(The second picture is the wall of sticks that I need it to create in order to continue the project.) (And the third picture is an under view of the whole project.)

Just another bee
This is a "Eusociality" more known as just another bee. This was my first time drawing an insect and I think it came out really good. What makes this bee a really good one is the value and the realism that I put in it. Ironically I hate bees but at least I can draw them.
Scale House
This was a very complicated project to build, it's a scale house with 3 sustainable elements which are: wind mills, water mills and solar panels. On the sides, there is a forest with a creek in between the house and the forest. What really brings this project alive is the landscape with the texture of the creek and real plants as the forest. Imagine that there are windows (which are pending). Would you like to live there?
Self-Portrait
A picture was taken of me and I used that as a guide to do this charcoal self-portrait. The thing that characterizes this drawing is the reality of the image (I think it looks pretty real), plus a good use of perspective. And in case you wonder what am I holding, its a Kendo sword.
Swatch Painting
This is a picture of a swatch painting I did, its suppose to camouflage a piece of magazine, which is hidden in the painting. I think that the strongest part of this artwork, is how the piece evolved from the limits of the magazine piece. Try to find it!
