Day and night.
On the drawing of the bird its the drawing of the day with a city behind.
On the one below its the night with a firefly and a more natural landscape.
The top one with the bird and the city is my favorite. It came out so good! All the details of the leaves are great. I also like how its drawn from the birds perspective, and how he's looking out through the leaves upon the city.
These are great! I'm pleased to see that you really filled out each page to communicate your idea. I also like that you chose to illustrate night and day by also contrasting city and country, and creatures within each. My one suggestion would be to think about the values you are using in each piece and how they can affect the mood and meaning of them. The day drawing is appropriately light, however, the night drawing also seems light. You have implied night with a moon in the upper left corner but the sky has been left white, and the firefly is actually darker than the sky. If the sky was a darker value it would communicate night much more. But great details!
